Learn the Exquisite Art of Ballet and Other Dance Styles
Classic Ballet School for Dance Instruction

Ms. Mende is currently serving as the Artistic Director of the East Coast Ballet.  She is the co-founder along with her husband, Ric Mende.

Classically trained by her mother, Katha Bardel, Ms. Mende has followed a professional dance career path from corps de ballet, principle, ballet mistress, instructor, choreographer, and director over the past 26 years.  She studied in classical ballet along with jazz, tap, and musical theatre under acclaimed instructors  including Hilary Cartwright, Edward Villella, Conrad Ludlow, Kelly Brown, Wilhelm Burmann, David Holliday, Olga Kostritsky.

She toured throughout the U.S., Asia, and South and Central America via secular and Christian platforms.

Ms. Mende has performed and choreographed for various television, video, industrials, and film productions.  In 1989 she invented and patented the Jazz Pointe Shoe, the design of which is being used in Capezio's Dance Sneaker.

Her joy is training and mentoring students, many of whom have gone on to excel as accomplished performers, choreographers, instructors, and directors in various professional dance companies and endeavors.

Our Objective
East Coast Ballet's objective is to build skillful, well-rounded dancers, who truly master the language and art of dance, developing great confidence and abilities that will last a lifetime.  Beyond the classroom, ECB dancers have various opportunities to perform in professional-level venues including stage, television, and video through studio, community, church, and school presentations.

Whether dance students decide to continue dance as a carreer, or not, they will appreciate many wonderful benefits from attending the East Coast Ballet School. They develop confidence, faithfulness, self-control, decorum, physical dexterity, and a gratefulness for the arts, which they foster throughout their lives.
