SCHOOL-stagepreballetSCHOOL-5thbarreEast Coast Ballet instructors preserve and cultivate true classical technique, expression, and character.   Students can expect to be challenged physically and mentally while learning new practical skills, knowledge, and attitudes such as:   proper breathing and posture, muscular control and coordination, relaxation, and the codification of the step vocabulary.   Students will experience the benefits of practicing daily discipline, attentiveness, following instructions, respecting authority, and assertiveness, as well as intense body conditioning.

ECB provides the student body various opportunities to perform in professional-level venues including stage, television, video, church, school presentations, and community demonstrations.  Our sincere desire is for each student to use his/her talents and artistic competency as an outreach to many audiences, bringing joy and happiness through their creative performances.

East Coast Ballet offers two distinct dance track programs, designed to meet the individual needs and goals of dancers and their families.   We refer to these programs as our Pre-Professional Track and Open Class Track.   Although there is no difference in the quality of classical training and instruction, the Open Track will allow for a slightly slower paced regimen with greater schedule flexibility, while the Pre-Professional Track is based on national training allowing for accelerated development and advanced achievement.

SCHOOL-2007-class2ndarebECB's Pre-Professional Track requires individual placement and enrollment in classical ballet, repertoire, pointe, pas de deux by Division, and allows the student the opportunity to choose electives such as:   jazz, tap, acro, and modern as auxiliary studies.   The Pre-Professional Program prepares students for pointe work at the appropriate time, performance solo roles, professional dance company auditions, college dance scholarships, etc.

  • ECB’s Open Track allows dancers to pick and choose the classes they wish to take ‘ala carte’ from the Open Track schedule without having to audition or maintain the weekly Divisional training regime required in the Pre-Professional Track.
